|
|
So I opened my spinner bait box today to find that most of the blades had become corroded and most of the skirts were dry rotting. I took some time before work this morning and fixed the problems.
Before
After applying some Turtle Wax Chrome Polish and Rust Remover
works on the hooks that got rusty to
Before
After
New looking Spinner Baits
So who here has had the problem of the line slipping down from the eye of the spinner bait, well I think i have a solution to that as well. a way to recycle the plastic that protects the hooks of the spinner baits when you buy them. just cut the plastic tubes into small peices and slide them over the eye of the spinner bait like so.
Sorry about the blurry pics, my camera doesn't take the best pics from close. I hope that this helps anyone who like me opens there tackle box to find some of their baits are being eaten away and dry rotting. _________________ Its been said a million times, and it is still as true as ever, a bad day fishing is still better than a good day working. |

Dood... that tip to keep the line from slipping is awesome. I was always having that issue. When the bait hits the water the line works its way out of the eye position. Good call! _________________ -Kley-

i'm glad so many people are enjoying that tip. My uncle taught me that a number of years ago. has saved me lots of money from having a bass straighten the rod. saves even more time and hassle when your knots get loose. _________________ Its been said a million times, and it is still as true as ever, a bad day fishing is still better than a good day working. |
