Just got back from some scouting....waters already starting to freeze up a tad bit more than just sheet ice Rolling Eyes

Did not see bird one Sad

no ducks or geese on the usual spots Crying or Very sad

Son and I went out today 1 mallard checked in and he did not check out Very Happy

We tag teamed his butt too lol Almost missed seeing him sneak by at mach 2 kid called him back and he came in and right to the hole! Never made it to the other side Twisted Evil

Took a box of "left over/stray" shells the wife put together. You know the odd ball ones that get left in the wadder or coat pocket, the ones that sneak out of the box when you take them out of the blind bag......we had 6 geese come in, not committing but pass shot speed. Kid never lifted his gun I fire 3 rounds....nothing drops!! Figured I just wiffed it big time, until I picked up my empties.....she snuck in a few 2 3/4 inch #7 steel dove loads!! Ugghhhh so now she is getting a tupperware bowl to put them in for me to sort lol .
