I was just wondering how young is too youg, when it comes to taking your kids hunting. Last year i took my 4 year old son deer hunting. Dressed him in his grandpa's camo coat, it looked like a dress, and off we went for a couple hours. My buddy has a homemade wood stand we call the penthouse. About 15 foot with sides so no danger of falling.
But know i realize i've created a monster. If he's not bugging me to take him hunting, it's to take him fishing. I LOVE IT! But now my daughter wants to go. She's alittle on the hyper side and i dont think she would sit in a stand. But how can i take him and not her. She feels left out. Any ideas.

THEY GROW UP WAY TOO FAST TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEM WANTING TO GO. MY KIDS BOTH HAVE PASSED MY HUNTER'S SAFETY COURSE BUT WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH HUNTING OR GETTING UP EARLY. SO FEEL BLESSED THEY WANT TO SPEND TIME WITH YOU.

I'm with Scott. I'd take her. Before you know it she will be a teenager and will want nothing to do with you... lol

Mine are both under a year now and if she wants to go, I'm taking her... even if she scares every fish in the lake.

THERE ARE SOME NICE GROUND BLINDS AVAILABLE ON THE MARKET. THE YOUNGSTERS CAN MOVE AROUND A LITTLE. LET THEM BRING A VIDEO GAME TO KEEP THEM OCCUPIED, AS LONG AS IT IS ON MUTE. I AGREE WITH EVERYONE ELSE. TAKE ADVANTAGE TO SPEND TIME WITH THEM NOW. WILD BILL.
