I am so proud of my two duck hunters! Maggie was not shooting yet BUT was “working” the birds and helping call. Fast learner for sure. She was spotting ducks and geese sometimes before we did and helped Anthony shoot his first EVER Mallard. I seen the birds flying away from us and told the kids to call Anthony hesitated cause he did not see them. Maggie started calling and turned the birds back and Anthony dropped the drake almost in the blind with 1 shot. Anthony’s first ever duck of any kind was also this morning, a Blue Wing Teal!! Both kids did a lot of hard work this summer building hen house's and helping out on a nice piece of property Waterfowl USA has been restoring and picking up litter when ever they see it at the local FWA we go to.
Ended Sat. morning with 1 Mallard, 1 BW Teal, 1 Coot and 1 Canadian goose ! Maggie is hooked, and I asked her if she wanted to go out again with us she said "heck yes! Dad I love this stuff!"
Picture perfect sunrise. Close up are our decoys, all the birds out by the dead trees are coots. Anthony let them live as live decoys.

| thats awesome to hear.. It'd be my guess that not much longer and Maggie will be asking to shoot.. Glad to hear the kids did well |
