Fish cleaning workshop in Portage, March 7

The Purdue Cooperative Extension Service is conducting a fish cleaning workshop at the Bass Pro Shops in Portage, March 7, from 1 to 4 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to watch as several fish species are filleted and will then get the chance to try their own hand at filleting fish. While several fish dishes are being prepared, participants will hear a presentation about the Indiana Fish Consumption Advisory and what it means for them.

Participants will have the opportunity to sample the fish dishes prepared that afternoon.

Admission is free, but advance registration by calling the Porter County Extension office at (219) 465-3555, ext 23 is requested.
