Just got a traffic ticket in Illinois for doing 36 mph over the limit in the middle of no where. So much for an "ESCORT RADAR DETECTOR" The doggie never barked or made a peep. No airplanes either. Anyone thinking of purchasing an ESCORT product better look and see if there's another brand that works and dosen't just sit on the dash.

I quit using them years ago. They just give you a false sense of security so you speed in areas you know you shouldn't be. The best protection is being aware and paying attention. I've got probably 12 tickets on my license over the years but haven't had one in probably 5 years now... and i speed EVERYWHERE. I've saved my ass countless times by watching other drivers (brakelights) ahead, watching overpasses, watching my mirrors, and just slowing down through the curves where you wouldn't be able to avoid a ticket. Keep her at 8 over until the coast is clear.
Any of you guys see a cop in the rearview, slow down and get over and hover at maybe 5MPH over and let him by, and then see some jagoff come flying up and just ride the cops ass, and the cop does nothing to him. I see this probably once every couple of months. If we're doing 60, that guy had to fly up on the cop doing 70 and tailgating the COP, and he does nothing. _________________ -Kley-
