Mark finally got back into deer hunting and on the first morning was in the right spot to take a nice 9 point buck. Overall where we were at in southern Illinois in the Shawnee National Forest hunting was slow, only saw 4 deer total for the 3 day season for 4 guys, but we got 2 of the 4. Didn't seem like they were in rut down there yet, no sign or chasing.
