We fished the Potato Creek tourney yesterday.. Weather was looking bad all day and I didnt really wanna go.. My bud was hounding me,, so it was either fish the river out of Maggies,, or do the Potato Creek thang.. We opted for Potato Creek,,, and I have no idea why? This is a electric only lake and we drew #12.. They call #'s in groups of 5,, we were in the 3rd group and started off.. Before we even left the pack,, my bud had a fish on. That fish would just clear the 14" mark.... We both were wandering if this was a good sign or bad?? We fished for the next 2 hours without catching another legal fish.. I was pretty much bummed out as we worked our way back towards the ramp with only a single in the live-well when all the sudden my bud says "I got one".. I turn around and see this fish roll and OH MY GOODNESS!! He had a 21 3/4" BEAST on.. Holy smokes,, then before he could even get it in the well,, I hooked another that was a solid 18"!!!!! Man we were just lookng for #4 after all that action!! But we never could get another legal fish.. So,, we went up for weigh-in.. Heck ya,, only 1 limit of 5 weighed in,, and they just nugged us out of 1st.. Must have been around 30 boats,, we ended in 2nd with 3 fish and 9.94lbs.. 1st was 10.23.......3rd was 9.2....4th was 4.5..
Heck ya we also won Big-Bass with 5.33lbs I should have taken a pic with the 18" fish also,, but we were so excited about my buds BIGGEN,, we didnt get a pic of both...........

Great job pigeonflier my partner and i took 4th we weighed 3 fish but had 4. We didn't want to chance a bumper for a DQ but we checked after we weighed the three on the directors bord and it would of mesured. Anyways hudson next wednesday maybe well cya there good job again that was a nice fish.

Nice fish man!! Getting a biggen' during a tourney is an added bonus too!
