My kid got 9 th pick at Willow Slough on Thanksgiving day.
We mite get into the corn in the afternoon.
So who wants to they my wife we may not be home for dinner.  _________________ Cuz Hunting Ain't Catch And Release. |

Actually they usually give you the option of morning or afternoon for Turkey day. |

| I was down at the slough today fri. oct. 9th and the corn is still standing in the rookery and salsbury. They don't even have the blinds near by to go in salsbury yet. The lake is actually high so they have to have enough water to flood it. I tried asking them what their plans were but the woman in there didn't know anything. |

It must have come up a lot over the last couple days. I was down there Tuesday and it was pretty low
They said it was going to take a small miracle to be able to flood the rook for the youth hunt let alone both. They said the ground in both is so dry it would soak it up like a sponge and drop the marsh and lake even lower.
Kind of a catch 22. I want the crops out of the fields so I can hunt them, but at the same time we need to the rain for the birds to hunt them.
With out the rook and sal they only have 20 spots for the youth hunt. |
