Outside Temp was 61 and somewhat calm. Beautiful day to fish. Went from 5pm-7pm. Water temp was 49.
Nobody caught anything. I talked to about 4 or 5 other boats coming in and nobody even got a bite. Typical of the Valpo lakes. I was suprised to see the ramp so empty on a day like that, but there was only 5 or 6 boats on the water.
Doesn't matter, it was still nice being on the water.

| I went to Rodgers park on Sunday around 10am and caught a few crappie.. nothing worth keeping. The guy at the bait shop down the road said most people were getting using minnows/wigglers. I was fishing the duck pond with wigglers. On and off there were about 10 guys fishing around the same area but it didn't look like anyone was have much better luck. I went home about 1 then headed back out about 6pm thinking maybe I'd have a little better luck. It was less crowded but the fish just weren't willing to bite. Later that evening I tossed a gulp crawler around the south-west end of loomis near the little boat ramp hoping for some bass action. I started near the little north pier and worked around the bend almost to the beach. I had a few strikes but whatever they were either weren't big enough to take the whole worm or I just didn't set the hook right cause I was able to land anything. Long story short, I got two fish all day but it was nice to be out. Hopefully this weather breaks soome and it warms up a bit. |

Any time... seriously. If you're wanting to throw some lines out after work hit me up. It seems like whenever I'm out there nobody's catching anything. I'll take whatever advise I can get. _________________ -Kley-
