First time wading up a creek and doing some creek fishing a few weeks ago. It was a lot of fun. It was hot out, but the water was cold so it evened out. We saw a TON of smallies. Didn't pull any in. I think we need to work on technique so we don't spook them. We saw a couple of schools of creek chub too. It's pretty cool to see like 20 12" fish swim through your legs. We had to cut the trip short since my brother broke his rod (we had our ultra-lights). We'll be going back again very soon...
I love catching Crawdads. This one was a beast. Blue claws too:
