Went fishing a local pond this morning for about 2 hours. Talked my wife into using that new Pink Shakespear rod/reel combo I bought her a couple of months ago. She's gone fishing with me one other time but didn't catch anything. Fourth cast out and she had a bass on the line. It was funny as hell because she said "I don't know what's wrong, my line is stuck or something" when she had the first bass on. "Yeah, STUCK IN A FISH'S MOUTH!" lol
We pulled in 4 bass, and lost a few nice ones. Right near the end she got one on the line and said it was really heavy and she couldn't hold onto it. She tried to give me the rod, and after I saw the beast jump I almost took it, but I made her bring him in... a beautiful 3.5lb Largemouth. Right as I pulled it onto shore the line broke too. I kept the crappy stock line that came with the reel on it. Durrrr... Check the picture out below. My wife's 2nd ever fish and a beaut!!
We both caught 2 bass but she had the first bass and the big bass award. I'm not jealous, I'm proud!
One of my catches
That fish looks HUGE compared to my wife. haha _________________ -Kley-

| that was a nice fish that she caught I know that you taught her everything lol. now she is going to want to go with you all the time. I made that mistake when I took my girl friend and she got her first fish now she wants to go all the time. That is not that bad but fishing is my time to get away from her now she wants to start hutting. Tell her nice fish did you get her the reel that lights up if you did I am sure that you use it when she is not. |

haha, no it doesn't light up. I was using a really nice ultralight (my little baby) and I asked her to switch with me so she could see how a really nice rod/reel felt... and her's felt smoother! WTF? It has a really nice cast and a silky retrieve with good sensitivity on the rod. I was really surprised. I hope she gets into it and wants to fish more. I don't mind her company at all, and she's better looking than Gar or Wild Bill. _________________ -Kley-
