These guys decided they wanted to try a PIGEON RIVER TRIP!!!

Well,, this entire story starts with me being late this morning,, but it taint as bad as driving around Notre Dame real early in the morning.... I met up with Cjones and Tmarsh this morning about 7:15 just below the South Bend/Century Center dam... Started off not far from the dam,, and Jones had the first fish on.. Couple good laughs cause we knew Tmarsh couldnt jinx us now??? We had 1 in the boat right away.. Then no sooner sit back down and Jones whacks another,, and get this,, its a largemouth,, what the heck??? I did learn along the way also that Tmarsh is one heck of a stick catcher!! Did I mention he caught some P n Y sticks??? It was a kinda slow day,, and we did blame that on T,, but we still caught some fish... Over-all I had a good time,, and would probably let those 2 back in my boat again...... Finally score,, Jones whipped me,, but T whipped us all!!!! Jones had the big fish with the largemouth..

Bad part,, the dern softcraws were $8 per dozen,, and we left the dam with 10 dozen.....

Did I forget to tell about the OLD LADY that sounded like she was gonna cuss us out,, for letting my dog swim in that fast current......

Or the head on collision with a CANOE..........................

The canoe story is almost UNBELIEVABLE,,, we were anchored just down-stream from where the canoe renters get shuttled to... We were in the middle of moving,, pulled up the anchors and started heading upstream when a 3-pack of canoes started off... Being a nice guy that I am.,, I went down to just IDLE so these canoes could go around us,, without a huge wave for them to get past.. I dont have any reverese on my motor,, and we were at idle going upstream,, when the last canoe starts headign right towards us,, I realized it was too late for me to do anything,, except for tell Jones to turn around and try and block the collision,, they about broke his arm and crashed head-on into us.. It left a nice sized dint in the front of the rented canoe,, and dern near flipped the canoe.. Some people are just way out there..... As they went past us,, I looked at them and asked them if they were drunk,, and if they would give ME a beer???
