My brother knows a guy who has a private pond just outside of Valpo, but 3 minutes from my house. It's taken very good care of and it's a permission only type of situation. You have to call him in advance and ask to come out. The pond is a couple of acres and 18 feet deep. We only had an hour or so to fish but it was still a good hour. 5 bass brought in with several other spit back at us. Nothing over 2lbs, but still fun to catch. Had a bass on in the first cast.... I love that. I wish to have one of these "Private Ponds" one of these days....
