Hit some small ponds today out in suburbia, and I mean like less than 1 acre in some cases. It was chilly, about 40 degrees this morning, and 20-35 MPH winds. It was uncomfortable and it was obvious that the fishing was going to be slow. We saw NOBODY fishing this morning. We fished for about 3 hours and right as the sun broke through and it warmed up a little - around 9:30, Don pulled a nice 4lb Channel cat and I pulled a small 1lb Largemouth. That would be my only fish of the day unfortunately. The cat was caught on a Yokohama Senko. He's been killing the Bass on the watermelon 4". The bass on a Powerbait 4" finess.

We went out again later in the evening. My nephew pulled a tiny LM on an tiny inline spinner. Small bait, small fish...

Right as we're getting ready to call it a night, around 8:20pm, Don gets a nice hit and pulls in this LM bass, just under 4lbs. All fish weighed on the Rapala Digital. It was a pretty fish and it came out of a small ass pond. Bear in mind that my brother is 6'6" so fish look small in his shadow, haha. It was pretty dark so the picture isn't the greatest either.

Not too bad considering the weather conditions.

Thanks. It was actually a slow day for us, but the two 4lb fish were nice! That's about as big as we see them out of these puddles. Good Times.
