The weather broke so I had to scratch that itch. I choose to drive out to The Southern Burbs and fish with my brother. Two is better than one, and besides, who's going to take the picture? So we started around 6:15 and fished until 8. It was pretty much dark at that point. It was in the upper 60s and very windy. About 20-30 MPH winds. I could cast a mile!

I threw a diving Rapala DT for a little while, then switched to a Texas Rigged Yamamoto Senko 5" pumpkin. I caught nothing. Not even a hit.

My brother was throwing a a Texas Rigged Yamamoto Senko 4" Watermelon/Lemon. He caught a 2lb+ Largemouth on that, then a 1.5lb largemouth a few minutes later in the same hole - about 20-30' off shore in front of a weed bed.

There was some other dood fishing the windy bank. I didn't even attempt it. I saw him fidgiting with something over there so I pulled out the zoom lens and snapped a picture. What was he doing?

He's doing what we all do when we fish alone... DOCUMENT! Right after he caught that bass, he literally ran off. He's probably late for dinner.

So we went to another retention pond across town and threw lines for another 30 minutes in the dark pretty much. My brother landed his 3rd Largemouth here on a White and Blue RocketShad spinner - his favorite bait. Only about 1.5 lbs.

Not bad for under two hours. I'm still 0 for 0 in the four times I've fished this spring. I need this dry spell to end! haha

KEITH, FISHING AND HUNTING IS SUPPOSED TO BE OUTDOOR THERAPY FOR THE SOUL. DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED. KEEP GOING AND KEEP CASTING AND THE FISH WILL BITE. WILD BILL.

As long as one of us is catching something, I'm happy. I took the wife out to Loomis tonight. Nobody was catching anything, including us. I discovered that she can cast a spinning reel something fierce!!
