With the high winds again today, and having stuff to do on Tuesday, I decided to hit the Tippe again this evening.
My best sauger outing to date. I picked up 4 keepers, with the biggest one going 18 inches. The biggest two had eggs in them. First time I have ever encountered eggs in these or walleye.
When the 18 incher hit, I thought it was a wiper. It pretty much went where it wanted to, pulling drag as she went. When I finally laid eyes on her, I was like oh boy oh boy, gotta get her to shore. I would love to get a hold of one of these in the mid to upper 20 range. THAT would be one heck of a battle.
I really need some neoprene chest waders, that water gets cold on the legs after a while without them.
This was one awesome night out. Wanted to stay and pick up two more for a limit, but the cold water had my bad back cramping up on me.
