Only had four hours to fish today, and I thought it was going to be a great 4 hours. I head to the same spot as yesterday, and as I put in my two rods, I get bit right away. Up comes a 14 1/2 inch walleye. I troll towards my spot from yesterday along the same break and catch a largemouth. As I bait up again and throw out my RR, my other pole is bent down and it is getting hammered pretty hard. Pull in a nice 16 inch dead stick eye. I turn around and pass through there again and pop off a 15 1/2 inch eye. All this within the first 30 minutes.

The wind was already blowing almost perfect when I got there this morning, but it continued to build. I caught a couple more small mouth bass and a large mouth and notice my white RR is missing its blade. So I put on one of the custom RR jigs that I bought of someone. I think all they are good for are catching rock bass and small mouth bass. I did catch a beast 11 inch rock bass on it though, and to be honest, my orange RR wasn't catching much either Smile

I cruised up the lake to Perry trying to get out of the wind, and there was no bite for me there either. Head out to the large flat off the point and work the wind blown edge and still nothing.

Cruise back to my spot and thought I had a nice eye on, but it turned out to be a really chunky small mouth bass. Today really used up the battery on the trolling motor.

I lost two fish today, one took me under the boat and I heard it jump on the other side when it got off, so I am betting that is a bass, and the other one I never got a look at.

Really enjoying my new approach to this lake this year so far. Once I get off vacation, I can see a few night trips after work in my future. She still going to be a tough lake to figure out though and I am sure she will skunk me a few times before this summer is out lol.

You never know what you'll see next lol
