Is Scent Lok a must when bowhunting? Im 13 and I dont quite fit into a mens medium and bow season is coming up. This will be my second year of bowhunting and I didn't have any luck last year. I'm wondering if a scent elimination spray would work just fine or if i should try some womens scent lok. It would be weird but i just dont know if I really need or not.

In my opinion, Scent lok is far overrated. When I started hunting there was no such thing and I have killed plenty of deer. I do use spray these days, but I think the more important thing is to be smart on how you approach your stand and be still. Obviously you dont want to wear close that stink, but you should be just fine without spending the outrageos amount of money it would cost you to buy a scent lok setup.

X2 on what slapneck said. I personally take my clothes and place them in a garbage bag and dump a box of arm n hammer baking soda in and shake it up like shake n bake chicken and leave them in there until I head out.

I have sat on a bucket and killed deer like that in the past Very Happy

I agree I do not buy all of the special clothes but I do think a shower in the morning and use the soaps they but out without the scents and I keep all of my hunting stuff in containers and I buy the earth scent wafers and put them in the contair so I just smell like dirt when I go out! It cost a lot less then the special clothing! Very Happy
