Hey guys. Can anyone give me some pointers for fishing St Joe river? Wife and kids want to try for salmon. I have a 16x50 extra deep jon with a 15hp merc on it. Will that be sufficient? Is there ample pier/shore fishing?

More than willing to get out there and find my own spots...would just hate like hell to assume my rig would be good enough only to find out I am up the Joe with out the proper canoe or paddle Shocked
