HEY GUYS NICE WORK. I USED TO HAVE FIVE FLOATING BLINDS LIKE THAT A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. THERE NICE TO HUNT OUT OF. THE PROBLEM I RAN INTO WAS THE DNR MAKING US PULL THEM OUT EVERY APRIL AND SMART ASSES SHOOTING HOLES IN THE BARRELS SINKING A SIDE. GOOD LUCK HUNTING, WILD BILL.

Becareful with your barrells as floation. Sometimes they have a tendency to lean to one side or the other and can cause the blind to flip.

oh we found that out! hahaha. we filled the barrels up instead with about 1/3 water isnt floating too bad now we got it into place today. gonna dump some more weight off one side to help stabilize and then give it the final test run to check everything and anything. i appreciate the tip, but yes before we could do anything right at the boat launch we sent it on its side being careless and went for a quick swim about 3 fow though thank the lord all ended well.

NDA, IF YOU PUT THE BLIND IN A SEMI SHALLOW SPOT YOU CAN MAKE BRACKETS THAT ARE ROUND ON THE SIDE. SLIDE SOME PIPE THRU IT AND POUND THEM INTO THE GROUND. WHEN I MADE MY FLOATING BLINDS THEY WERE REAL WIDE TO KEEP IT FROM TIPPING. BUT WHAT THE HECK, ALL DUCK HUNTERS ARE CRAZY AND WILL DO WHAT WE HAVE TO DO TO HUNT. WHEN YOU DRY OUT LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT ME TO WELD UP SOME BRACKETS FOR YOU GUYS, WILD BILL.
