I am planning a trip out west and cant decide if I want to bow hunt mule deer or rifle hunt them. We were going to try Western Nebraska but they claim it is pretty crowded rifle hunting. I had some people tell me that there are a lot less people bow hunting. Can you really stalk close enough to them to shoot them with a bow on the plains. I can see a in the mountains you could because there is a lot to hide behind. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

| MARSHAA, THAT IS REALLY COOL THAT YOU ARE GOING BIG GAME HUNTING. HUNTING WITH A BOW GETS YOU UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL. BUT IF THE ANIMALS ARE REALLY SPOOKED A RIFLE MAY NOT BE A BAD WAY TO GO EITHER. I HAVE HUNTED WILD BOAR WITH A BOW AND A GUN. I THOUGHT THE ADRENALINE RUSH WAS MUCH GREATER WITH A BOW. GOOD LUCK AND I HOPE TO SEE SOME PICTURES OF YOUR HUNT, WILD BILL. |
