Needed to wait for a couple of friends to get-off work, so we got a little later start than usual. Launched out of Hammond Marina at about 7:30 and went to the shipping canal with no luck. Trolled to the shoals. No luck. Hugged the Inland wall on the way back to the ship canal and picked-up 2. Both on a dodger and fly down 18-22 feet. One on a Dispey and one on a downrigger. It was a wild ride back in from the shipping canal about 11:30. Didin't have the camera on the boat, so this is the only pic.
Both were females. One was 17" and one was 18". Both had shad in their stomachs. |
