However it is yet to be seen if this is going to be a good thing lol I am sick as hell right now and was Thursday(double pnemonia), BUT I took my son and my daughter along with my wife (her first ever duck hunt) to a reserve hunt at the Slough. End result wife 2 my son and myself ZERO lol

I was watching some birds off to my left when my son says "mom take it!" I look over just in time to see this bird land in the decoys and my hear my son's slip of the lip "crap wait"....he didnt say crap BTW lol I stand up and my wife has a bead on this bird (with her new shotgun I might add) I shoulder up as back up, my son gets the bird to jump and my wife slaps it down...it swims about 3 feet and starts to take off again. She is so jazzed she shot one I had to drop it again because she forgot to shuck the spent shell. My son drags the boat out to retrieve it and thankfully remembered to take his gun with him because as soon as he got close enough it flipped over and started diving and swimming again! he let it get out about 10 feet stood up and head raked it. My sons ID was correct, an immature hen bluebill. She also dropped a coot as it came in running across the water.

We came home and I dropped dead with a fever of 102 and coughing my head off. In between my fits of chills and being too hot I asked her if she had fun, she asked "when are we going again, because that was fun" She said she is hooked and wants to do it a lot more. Don't think I can tell her "remember you kill it you clean it" lol like I did my son....she will pluck the heck out of a duck but refuses to gut them. I think I created another monster

We were across fron that spot today and we got 2 Mallards.
