I got out for a bit on Sunday morning but didn't feel like hitching the boat so I just went to Rodgers and did some bass fishing from shore. I had two hit on a chartuse and chrome Rattle trap and 2 more on shad shallow diving crank. I was surprised 3 out of the 4 were not as chunky as I'd thought they would be this time of year. Heres a few pics..
While I was out there I saw a guy on the northside of the lake in wadders casting. He caught one fish while I was watching but he was too far from me to tell what he landed. I'd have sworn it was a salmon or trout judging by the size. Does anyone know if the Tribs feed into loomis? |

Nice fish! I thought all of the Valpo chain of lakes were somehow connected, but I don't think any tributaries feed any of them. _________________ -Kley-

| 2 of the bass I caught were on the north side of the lake, if you follow the trail just north of the boat ramp along the shore it'll take you around north, most of the shore line is hard to cast from over there but there are a few spots accessable. The other two came from the dock east following the paved trail allow the retaining wall. In spring and early summer I get most my bass along that paved trail. (before the lillies get too thick) Good Luck to ya. |
