Finally broke away from parenthood long enough to hit a pond that I've been drooling over for quite some time. It's an old highway pond that was built probably 20 years ago, but then recent development in the area has caused more water to run into it, raising the water level. So now the surrounding treeline is submerged by a couple of feet of water making it impossible to cast out into the heart of the pond. There's a break in the treeline where I was able to navigate my Mini-Pontoon through and into the pond and fish for a few hours. Ton's of bass! I caught probably close to a dozen. Nothing over a pound. All about the size of the bass in the pic below... one or two were a little bigger. I saw schools of bass this size so in 3-5 years this is going to be a great bass hole.

It was still fun to explore a new body of water and get out in the boat.

You gotta let me know if you can get out after work sometime soon. My schedule is starting to get a little better now that the kids are 7 months old.
