Ok so I can't draw and hold a bow any more due to shoulder and neck issues...have not for probably 10 years or so. I was telling my son how much of a rush it was to have to be so quite and still (like Turkey hunting) to get a shot off.

Well the little bugger purchased a used crossbow for $23 at a garage sale. It's OLD it is a powermaster I beleive made by Whamo in the late 60's. Best I can find info on is it was rated between 90-150lbs. Has a peep sight and still looks and works great. We tested it with a couple pencils lol and it went clean threw a cardboard box at 30 feet....pencil was not sharpened .

Can anyone tell me what the bolt length should be and/or if it is a nock or blunt style? The old guy he got it from did not remember much about it other than he has had it for over 30 years and had not used it but once or twice.

you need to take it to a pro archery shop for the bolt length to be safe. Most bolts are blunt nocked . With my crossbow it only takes 14'' blunt's .But i would go to a archery shop for safety reasons if you are not sure.

I would take it to One Source Outfitters in Valpo on Highway 6. I am sure he could help you with it.
