With having newborn twins at home, I haven't had a lot of time for fishing. I've got out maybe 3 times in the last 4 months. It's killing me. So when I do go out, I want to make the most of it. I've been watching this Weather.com fishing forecast for a month or so now to see how accurate the forecast really is. I checked it last night and sure enough, it showed the highest reading I'd ever seen for fish activity (see picture below)

So I go out there at 5:45am and fish until 7am. Not a bite. I used three different lures (5" finesse worm, 1/2oz spinner, and crankbait), all different colors (motor oil, chartruese, and green baby bass - respectively), at different varying depths. Nothing. The fish weren't biting. I'm going to watch the fishing report and try it again on some day where the reading is out the roof. In the meantime, I'm going to pick up a barometer from BPS and try barometer fishing. Some people swear by it.

According to weather.com, here's what is factored into the fishing reports:

Sucks that you haven't been able to get out much then when you do get out not to get a bite. I know I've been in the same boat for the most part. Atleast you got some time in.

It doesn't seem to work... lol Shocked

I'm the Anti-fish this year! I actually got out last weekend with my brother and caught a handful of Largemouth 1-2lbs. It felt good since I've been getting skunked lately. They were hitting on topwater buzz bait of all things...
