Today me and my best bud(newest TU Member Awal) decided we were gonna tear the bass up topwater style. And tear them up we did. All the fish caught were between 6pm and I think 8:45. All we used was a popper scum frog, and a non popper scum frog. with amazing results. Braid was a must with some of these hogs.

Nothing better than good times with a good friend, except maybe good times with a good friend and beer.

Awal with a nice one

Awal caught this badass fish with my new baitcast combo. Nothing like letting a buddy use your equipment then being out fished with your own stuff. But the point is he horsed this bucketmouth in out of a weedy spot.

I swear I had pictures where you could see me, but Awal didn't hit the save button on my phones camera. Anyway, i have known Awal since we were both 5 years old, he is a hell of a guy and a great fisherman. I hope to post many more pics of us up here in the future.

Good times, that one female was ready to BUST. lol, I see a golf course in the background. I'm always eyeballing the ponds when I golf. I'm thinking about throwing a pole in my bag.

i don't know if that is a female or not, the extra size on the belly isn't from eggs, the spawn is over. but when Awal was getting the frog out of its mouth, we could see a fishtail in the back of the throat. It was kinda cool.

Yeah we had a great day out on the pond. I have been working out at the course for a few years and if you can get out to a golf course pond you won't be disappointed. When we are on the clock the fish love to taunt us.
