Got on the water around 6:30pm. Outside temp was in the upper 60s, I couldn't tell you the water temp since the batteries died on my Humminbird. I didn't realize it until after I shoved off. The wind was calm... dead calm. The lake looked stagnant. There was a lot of floating vegitation. For a beautiful Sunday evening, the lake seemed awfully dead. There was maybe 2 other boats on the water. Nobody was catching anything so they all probably left. I followed suit... left around 9pm.
I don't usually fish with live bait, but I jigged minnows and threw out some crawlers. Also threw various artificials - 6"senko, Chartruese Spinner, a popper topwater, and a few cranks. Nothin'. Not a hit. One guy pulled a 1lb bass out. That's all the action I heard of.
I must be picking the shittiest days to fish. Whenever I get out, nobody's catching anything. Oh well, It's still good to be on the water. _________________ -Kley-

Yeah, it's been a shit year. I was out with F-N-G last night at a local hidden pond. We saw probably a dozen bass, some of them were very large, and they wouldn't bite on anything. I had minnows, crawlers, and a box of artificial baits... nothin' _________________ -Kley-

| Yep talk about being frustrated!! The water was clear and you could see them bass hanging out but they wanted nothing to do with us. Atleast I got to meet and hang out with Kley for a bit. I'm looking forward to trying that spot again. |

just remember the year is gonna get better, we have had lots of rain and plenty of cold days to mess with the fishs feeding habbits. wait till it finally averages 60 degrees out and the water temps warm up a bit. _________________ Its been said a million times, and it is still as true as ever, a bad day fishing is still better than a good day working. |
