Painting a house to go is nothing!!!! I had to agree to let my mother in law move in with me in order for me to able to go! And I also had to agree to have the basement finished before I could go! That is how bad I wanted to go! Basement almost done and Mother in law moves in on June 18. But I also look at it like this, as of June 18 my spot in Heaven is reserved!

Ranger - my brother! I have yet to meet you, but I like you already!
Wee Wild Willy (wishes he can grow a mustache) throws "crap" my way all the time, but the bottom line on this agreement was that I was going to have to do this work regardless. Why not tie this work into a fishing trip negotiation? The house gets the update, the wife wins her battle and I get to scamper off with the "wild bunch" to the north country to fish and make stupid with my buds in less than ~40 days or so.

I just figured I would get a fishing trip out of it! and everytime my wife starts to bitch about me going away for a week I just remind her of that fact and she shuts up!

All joking aside - this trip should prove to be "one for the books." Hope the lakes are open and the weather is right. This fishing trip is exactly what the doctor ordered.

I have been watching some of the boards from up there and they are already starting to get some open water in the mississippi pools in Southern Minnesota. It should be open when we get up there!
