Ed & Tom went on a spur of the moment late snow goose hunt with our friend Todd from southern Illinois to Armagon Arkansas on 02-14-09 & 02-15-09. Todd called Thursday night and said the migration was on and to get down there so we left on Friday. Started off slow on Saturday and only had 1 at 11:00am and we were wondering if we had made a good choice or not. Went to lunch and then things were really crazy. We had anywhere from 500 to 2,000 birds coming in at a time Saturday afternoon. Ended up Saturday with 60 snow, ross & blue geese for 3 hunters. Hunted a spread of a couple thousand decoys in a rice field. Sunday was a lot different because the weather turned even colder, even spitted snow. Got 5 more on Sunday and thenn had to come home. I wish duck season was in we saw thousand of ducks both days landing in the lake right behind us. All in all it was a great way to end the hunting season.

Here is our view from the pit

End of the day on Saturday - Happy hunters

Here are 2 short videos quality not to good taken with phone but will give you and idea of what we saw on Saturday all afternoon. Sound did not come out for some reason.
