This is just a heads-up to those who fish Kentucky Lake. Last year I made reservations to stay at "SHAWNEE BAY RESORT". I sent in my deposite for a 4 day weekend trip. As circumstances would have it, the day we were schedualed to be there my father passed away. Needless to say, I called "SHAWNEE BAY RESORT" to inform them I was unable to use my reservations due to the death of my father. The first thing out of ther mouth was not an "I'm sorry for your loss" or any type of condolence but instead, "there is no refund on your deposite" or do to the extenuating circumstances we will credit you half at another time. I'm a Musky fisherman so I am use to going Nort. If this is a sign of Southern hospitality you can have it . If I ever go to kentucky Lake again you can bet I won't be staying at "Shawnee Bay Resort. They already got my $300 for nothing.

Hawk, that's Bull Shit. Do they have a web site. Can you post your satisfaction with the lodge on it. I will make sure everyone I knows. Let's hope we see thw lodge at a show. TU make make sure the whole crowds knows how they take care of their guests.

Shawnee Bay- YOUR DONE! No more Illinois or Indiana people will visit your facility. I suggest we write a formal complaint and let them know exaclty how we feel. I will start working on it- once done I will post on web.

I go to kentucky lake every year and have stayed at a lot of places the best that I have found and the cheapest is Amerca's Paradise Resort. They have great people working there and will even set you up with guides if you can't find the fish. www.americasparadiseresort.com One year we went and never found the fish so she only charged me half price.
