MAKING A CAMOUFLAGE UMBRELLA

Why would anyone want to make a camouflaged umbrella?
What uses could it possibly serve?
1. When I take my nephews fishing in the summer it can take the
hot summer sun off of them.
2. While dove and crow hunting it serves as a sun blocker and camo-blind
3. When duck hunting it will definitely protect you from heavy downpours of rain till it lets off a little. It can also be used to hide behind while hunting a marsh or field while pass shooting. And it is easy to make and easy to store.

Here are some easy steps to making a camouflaged umbrella:
1. Pick up some spray paint. Khaki, black, green and red primer.
2. Look for some ordinary plants or weeds to use for stencils.

Take any type of umbrella that you think you want to use. Than spray paint the outside of the umbrella with a tan or khaki color. This makes a nice base for your camo stenciling.

Take your first stencil and lay it on the umbrella.
Then use the black paint spraying lightly over the stencil creating an image on the umbrella.

Cover the entire umbrella until it resembles this. The stencil I used was that from a fern. Hobby and flower stores sell plastic ferns and other plants that will work well also.

Now use red primer and start fading your next stencil into the umbrella like the previous step.

Again, use your green colored spray paint and start fading another stencil in between the other painted plant images.

There are endless designs and stencils that can be used to make a
Camouflaged umbrella. And it is not that difficult or time consuming of a task. People have laughed at me when I have brought it hunting with me. But during heavy down pours of rain there not laughing when they ask to borrow it for a while.
