SHOOTING YOUR FIRST DEER

Recently Glenn Gulley and his 9-year-old son Kyle went out on a deer hunt. Kyle has been in a tree for years, but this time he was armed and ready to hunt. There are times in a father’s life when he sees his son’s first goal in soccer, or his first homerun in tee ball. These are all magical moments in a father and sons relationship. But there is nothing in the world more binding than when he kills his first deer, catches his first fish or shoots that first duck.

These memories are carried to the grave and passed down thru generations. This particular hunt Kyle was in the tree cool and collected, this is awesome of a 9 year old. But dad Glenn the seasoned hunter was on pins and needles. A couple of deer moved thru that day and Glenn kept saying shoot this one. Kyle whispered in his dad’s ear and told him to relax, he wanted a bigger one. When Kyle finally saw the deer he wanted he drew up and made a shot that put his fathers ego into another dimension.

I remember receiving a call the night it happened, Glenn couldn’t even breathe let alone talk on the phone. I Wild Bill would like to personally congratulate Kyle on his first deer. Also I am looking forward to going out on a hunt with this incredible youngster. Another Team Unstable member is upon us. Great job Kyle YOU THE MAN.
