PHEASANT HUNTING WITH FLUSHING LABS
Bob Connors of Rooster Creek Kennels who is a trainer of AKC Registered
Labs recently took some Team Unstable members to the Grand Kankakee Hunt
Club. The club has trap shooting and pheasant hunting on some nice

Bob Connors is a professional trainer of AKC Labs. His labs are excellent
duck hunting dogs that can flush pheasants as well. Pheasant hunting with
a pointer compared to a flusher offers different entertainment in the
field.
Hunting with a pointer allows a hunter to walk up and kick the bird up.
Hunting with a flusher requires a hunter to be on his toes ready to shoot.
At one time Mr. Connors had 7 labs flushing the field in front of us like
a scripted ballet of dancers. The action and adrenaline was pumping the
whole time. The time spent in the field that morning was priceless. Bob

After the hunt we had lunch inside the grand Kankakee Hunt Clubs dining
area that features a fully stocked bar and grill with some exotic dishes
available.
This hunt club is under new owners and is a nice place to spend the day
hunting or stopping in for dinner or lunch.
