TURNING AN ORDINARY COOLER INTO A USEABLE LIVEWELL

If you fish from a boat with no livewell or like to fish from a bank than this easy to follow project might be for you. All you need is an old cooler and a Super Saver 12 volt livewell aerator system.

If your cooler does not have a drain plug on the side it is easy to install one.
It is not necessary to have a plug on the side but it can make draining of water easier.

The Super Saver Livewell runs off of a 12-volt battery. All you need to do is connect the hose to the aerator bar that is held on by suction cups. When the battery is connected to alligator clips the pump can be used to pump water into the cooler until it is high enough for your fish. The pump is than put in the livewell and will circulate water putting fresh oxygen into the water. The Mayfair pump is a 500 GPH cartridge pump that can be used as an emergency bilge pump for a boat. There are different timers that can be bought to circulate water at different intervals. I personally hook it to my battery and turn it on periodically. When it is time to remove the water the plug can be pulled or the pump can be used to pump the water out of the cooler. When fishing out of boats with no livewells or fishing from the bank this unit can be very useful. If you have any questions about the livewell contact me at WildBill@teamunstable.com .
