Pickled Northern Pike

Cut desired amount of Northern pike into small pieces.
 Soak in 1 Cup Pickling Salt and 1 Qt. water for 48 hours, making sure all fish is covered.
After 48 hours lightly rinse fish and soak in white vinegar for 48 hours.
Drain and rinse.
Combine 1 ¾ Cups of sugar
2 Cups white vinegar
4 Bay leaves
1 Tsp. Peppercorns
1 Tsp. Whole Cloves
2 Tsp. Mustard Seeds
Boil above ingredients for 5 Minutes
Add 2 Cups sliced onions and brine too fish pieces.
Cover and refrigerate for 5 Days.
